We attend Flagler Palm Coast High School and participate in the Community Problem Solving Program.

Our principal, Mr. Jacob Oliva, as well as his staff, is supportive of our project.

Our project is a service learning project and is funded by Florida Learn & Serve.

For our year long project we selected the issue of  homelessness in our community.

We collaborated with groups within our school and community to further this project.

Our group chose the Cold Weather Shelter in Bunnell, Florida to be the focus point for services.

HAIRCUTS FOR THE HOMELESS

Once a month we partner up with the Flagler Technical Institute to provide the homeless with haircuts and manicures. The photographs to the right are pictures taken during one of our “People Who Care” events for the homeless.

INVOLVING OUR COMMUNITY

We met with the mayor of Palm Coast,  reporters from local newspapers (News- Journal and the Palm Coast Observer), local dentists, city officials, and even a former homeless female who turned her life around.  We want the community to
support us even more with this project.

DONATIONS

Many donations were contributed towards our project, and we encourage anyone who would like to donate to support our project by lending a helping hand to those in need.

Donations of food, clothes or other items can be dropped off at
